Your both right. It's a Green Terror - Gold Saum. The gold saum refers to the orange/gold color on the fins. There is also a white saum but you don't see them often.
Happy Thanksgiving Kyle. I haven't tested this morning yet. I put some salt in to reduce the nitrite toxicity and everyone looks good. I'll test a little later and probably do a small water change.
Yep, the main reason I changed from a 55 to a 125 is because I realy wanted a JD and a GT. I have since had my eye on a male Jaguar but I don't think it would be a good idea to add one of those to this tank:) Have you had any experience with Jags?
no i havent had one, but they are known for they'er aggression. i think that might be a bit much for gt&jd. then again you never know, i have my guys with a red devil, and in most cases that dont work neither.
Ya, I don't think it's a good idea. besides even if it did work, I'd have a Jag that could be as big as 20" in a 125 with other fish. That would be pretty cramped. I was never a big fan of Jags but someone at my LFS had traded in a 10" male and it was unbelievebly beautiful. I must have stood there for 15 minutes just watching him. Seem to be a very intellegent fish.
thanks guys. unfortunately i no longer have this guy. he died a while back after a long fight with internal parasites. aaron, the white finned terrors are called silver saums. i have a female one, but no luck finding a male yet. over all there are three types of gts
cool picture Keith...
