Fry rescue!
Fry rescue!
Nimbochromis venustus
Saw a couple of specks among the rock cracks in my 180gal and noticed two surviving venustus fry! I was able to net one of them (the fry in the pic) but the other one evaded me and a malawi eye biter which was observing the process. I placed the fry in a mbuna grow out tank. It survived the tank 'initiation' (got nipped and pecked by the slightly larger demasoni and msobo fry) but seems to be doing alright. Extremely tiny, maybe 1.5cm. If it makes it, it will be interesting growing this venustus fry to full size.
