here Michelle, this is what quality krill looks like. This type can't be found in a store, you have to go to a certain food supplier to obtain it, but its worth it
John, if you have had issues with freeze dried, I would suggest trying a different brand. Go to Kensfish.com and you can order it there, he keeps it in stock at all times, and its a bit better then the stuff you can find around locally in shops. He has great prices as well. (I believe its under specialty foods)
Wayne,No issues with it.I can get high quality freeze dried from one fo my lfs and do on ocassion use it.Just trying to let Michelle know that frozen is better and usually cheaper. It retians more nutrients & natural color enhancers, which is why we feed it to our fish!Just trying to help properly educate our fellow hobbyist:)
likewise, and from what I understand, freeze dried, when from a private supplier not a petshop/store/mass producer, will do the same, just wasn't sure if you knew you could get good krill from kens cheap or not, so I figured I would let you know.
No, I wasn't aware that Kens had it cheap. And freeze dried is good stuff(the process is better these days than it used to be,as far as retaining nutrients, but frozen is still a little better, and of course this is if both are good quality)
it does depend on the quality of the dealer, we don't want to by pass that, not all freeze dried is good, most isn't really all that good, but kens has some good stuff, and his prices are next to amazing
