For Frank....hiding..
For Frank....hiding..
I will tell ya frank, I have 4 in the Salvini haven and you would almost never know, they can get so dark and hide in between the cracks of the root system and rocks. It is very neat to be able to observe some of their behaviors when provided a "close to" natural habitat.

Travis, mine is kinda bossy - I have big driftwood stump and she spends her day chasing everyone away from it. When she does hide, she stays bright anyway :)

I do need more driftwood and plants in my tank ... I had some nice ferns growing, but those menacing crays tore them apart. What hardy plants do you recommend for a CA community tank? I had Anubias (sp?) in there, and it wasnt doing well. Java Ferns seemed okay till the Crays came in.... :)

Frank, was the anubias attached to a rock or driftwood? cause if it is planted it will more than likely die. I have a sword plant if you want me to attempt to mail it to ya, although I have no idea how to ship lol..

oh forgot to recommend other plants lol..

Anubias was planted - it grew really fast in gravel, but got weak after I switched to sand. Thanks TangO - I appreciate the offer, but I can get swords here pretty cheap, so no need for you to stress on shipping it :) Thanks though.
