Ok well first off, nice fish, secondly, how do you manage to keep these fish alive? Every single Firemouth that I've had so far has died! I really like these fish though and I don't want to give up on them so can you tell me how you possibly keep yours alive? Like what size tank, the Ph, temp., everything! Any info at all is greatly appreciated. :)

they are very nice firemouths, firemouths don't need any special care to keep them its one of the easiest cichlids actually to have especially for beginners, they are one of the 1st introduced to the hobby, i dont know why you keep losing yours, ive had one a couple years ago but got half eaten when i 1st brought him home from petstore my 14 inch front which i dont have anymore ate him. i havent gottin one since but i do find them to be very beautiful cichlids.

Firmouths need 55 gal or more, ours are in a 155 gal Temp between 75 and 80 and Ph between 7.0 and 7.5 and half tspn per gallon aquarium salt.
