Cichlasoma festae

My female is 5.5" and male is almost 7" i got to measure them while transfering them into a breeding tank.

How big were they when You got them? I have never heard of Festae growing that fast.

They were 1.25" when i got them. they have been in a 180 gallon tank since i got them. now my pair is in a 75 til i can get a 120 or 150. heres a video i posted on youtube of them courting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E-BcGyJ95o. feel free to view

I'd agree more than a year. I just measured him. He's 7 inches long.
