There's an aquarium at 17 anamalai ave off bukit timah 6th ave "Hse of fish & pets" that sells them.Go check it out

Not ALL OVER FLORIDA, Southern Florida, Everglades and a little up North as well, but only in small lakes/ponds. Also in the Withlacoochee River/Ocala Area too in extremely limited numbers. Mudfish are way more common than peacock bass are. And this in not the same peacock bass that are found in Florida either. Sorry to disappoint ya, but this one is found in S. America...

At the time of the pic, she was 8"inches. She is now in a 180 gallon at 17" inches. As for having a school of them that would require the individual to house them in AT LEAST 500 gallons as they do grow over a couple of feet and can weigh over 20 lbs

They actually introduced these to Florida to control the feral oscar and tilapia population... as they can't spread to cooler waters
