It looks like a female to me Kylie, they normally have larger looking eyes when they are young than the males, are longer in the tail and she doesn't have the whip on the dorsal. They are great fish thogh and I reckon you should go out and get a male for her. I'll post you a pic of my boy who was killed by my D Comp.
