, i have successfully cured ich using Aquarisol, at a rate of 12 drops per 10 gallons per day till cured, raise the temp to 85 while doing this treatment, and be sure to remove your filter carbon when starting this treatment till 24 hours after the last treatment , then a 25% water change and return carbon(Chemi-pure for me) to the filter.. /it works very well for ich.. Good luck..
Wes St. Jean » posted 2010/02/17 01:05 am
Usually only takes 3 to 5 days, and works very well..

Have you ever tried Aquarisol Chris?? I've been using it as a preventative for many many years and have had ich once in 25 years!!Which was gone in 3 days of treatment.. Vince swears by it also!!
Chris Walker » posted 2010/02/17 01:31 am
yep...I have some...It is real mild too on the fish...I also like maracide too (kinda the same as quick cure) but that is a little harder with use of the copper sulfates in it...aquarisol is easier on the fish i have read
Chris Walker » posted 2010/02/17 01:33 am
plus aquarisol does not screw up the clear silicone..We you use 12 drops per 10 g?
Chris Walker » posted 2010/02/17 01:34 am

Rob Robinson » posted 2010/02/17 01:58 am
Let us know how you like it I think it really polishes the water crystal clear

OK lots of questions here!!! OK as for the aquarisol.. 12 drops per 10 gallons once a week as prevention, and leave the carbon in.. As a cure, remove carbon, raise temp to 85 and use 12 drops per 10 gallons once a day till cured, then wait 24 hours longer, do a 25 % water change and put carbon back in..OK for the Chemipure, 1 -10 oz can do 50 gallons for a full 6 months, so on a 90 or 100 , doul
ble up.. as long as the tanks are not really over loaded. It really does last 6 months or longer if the tank is sparse on fish..
Wes St. Jean » posted 2010/02/17 02:07 am
Thats just what I was saying here Rob!! It is by far the best working filter media, and the best value, by how long it lasts,, Win-Win!!
Wes St. Jean » posted 2010/02/17 02:08 am
Chris, I guarantee you will never ever use anything else once you try it.. Mark my words..
Rob Robinson » posted 2010/02/17 02:12 am
I agree Wes a friend sold me on it years ago
Wes St. Jean » posted 2010/02/17 02:14 am
Just one important point about Chemi-pure.. It was originally developed for marine tanks, and will only work in a tank with a PH level higher than 7, never use it in an acid PH setting.
Rob Robinson » posted 2010/02/17 02:15 am
Wes petsolutions.com has 40 oz. Chemi-pure for 21.99
Wes St. Jean » posted 2010/02/17 02:16 am
I've been using it since 1984, and have never ever used anything else since!! i will drive 100 miles to get it if i could buy carbon next door!!! Really.

Beautiful fish! My Cichlids tanks are all currently tinted blue at the moment- power outages caused one fish to stress and get ick. So, now all the tanks are treated. That's why I posted a Koi and Betta pics- I can't see my Cichlids!
