Thanks guys. They need to update the species list on the site :) Team project? Chuck - started on the stand for breeding these guys, should be done before weeks end, and I'll most likely be ordering the fish this Friday.
Frank, as for plants in your CA tank, have you thought of different types of vals, swords and mosses? If you could get the mosses to take to your drifwood along with java ferns, that would cover plants in the mid part of your tank, the vals(depending on species) can grow from 16-36", and reproduce fast. certain kinds of swords have thick leaves, which make them hard for the fish to destroy, as for crayfish, I have no clue if they could or not.
Thanks Tango - the Crays are pests, and when they are eaten, I am going to throw a keg party. Never again in this tank :) Swords are common around here, so are Java ferns. Never looked into the mosses - I may have to take a run to a store on my lunch hour and see what they have.
Tony, 3 crays left, of 6. I saw a shell rolling around in the tank today... I started dancing in front of the tank. Hopefully the last 3 will be gone by the weekend, so I can re-plant the tank. I think you'll miss them though :)
Tony - down to 2 ... you are welcome to them - I'll deliver :) Waiting for them to get crushed so I can put some plants in the tank :) Harvick - in-wall stand is built, cutting the hole in the wall tomorrow and order the fish this week. I wont forget, dont worry :)
