Both typically colorful and aggressive, cichlids and damselfish are Perciformes belonging to the Sub-Order Labroidei. What this means is, in taxonomical terms, cichlids are more closely related to this saltwater neon velvet damsel, then they are to tropical community fish such as neon tetras or tiger barbs.

Nice fish, nasty temper when thet get big, they would put most cichlids to shame in aggression. We sold them as "Neon Devils"
