good kylie still thinking on what to get for a colony.

calvus or compriceps - if good price.
shell dwellers - 10 to 20 of em .
other type of tang not tropheus or fronts.

still looking and deciding.

oh i wouldnt get that many shell dwellers.. they are really aggressive and when two pair up they will kill the rest .. see if you can just buy a pair. leleupi are great tangs add some yellow to tank. calvus or compressips both good..

leleupi get to 11cm so maybe not that many is the tank and once again if they pair.. this is the tang prob aggressive fish they are.. calvus and comps get to 15cm .. juliochromis transcriptus only get to 9cm so a small species.. som eshellies stay small to about 5cm sonot big at all.. are you going to upgrade at all to a bigger tank.. heheh

robert johnson » posted 2008/08/12 - 11:04

sorry i have confused you.. it is hard to tell someone what to put in there tank as people usually have a preferance for fish they love. do you have fav fish that you really want to use or not really. i really wanted calvus so i got three and added two brichardi as well and want to add some leptsommas on top as the other guys hide a lot.. thats another thought.you dont want to pick all fish that are always hiding and not out to much not much for you to look at .. is your local fish store good and are they very helpful or do they want to just sell you fish .. always great to make friends with someone who works at your local fish store as they can help you and tell you what would work depending of fish sizes too..

if u just want one fish in there and to breed and not fight u could get brichardi they will breed like crazy and not harm the fry and they will continue to do so untill your tank is full
Tony R » posted 2008/08/12 - 11:30
any other suggestions ive only had 2 brichardi in the past and they were nice to have.
