Here is a picture of some of my convict fry in a 2-gallon fry tank. I once used this tank as a quarantine tank but since I don't have any more clown loaches that are prone to ick anymore, I decided to use it as a fry tank. I took about 30 fry to put in this tank to raise myself and left the other 20 or so to the parents in the main tank. I have so many convicts, I don't know what to do with them. I may sell some to my lfs but they are so cool and unique fish that I may just buy a large tank, about 250-gallon or so just for all my convicts. The breed a lot, as I am sure most hobbyist know and they are so cool to watch when they are guarding their nests, eggs, and fry. I have two pink convicts that will not breed. I suppose they will do it when they are ready, not when I am ready for them to. By the way, does anyone know if black convicts will breed with pink ones? The reason I ask is because they all swim together but I have never seen them pair up with the opposite colors.
