The eggs are incubated in the mouth and held in the mouth until they are free swimming.

umm..... so what do i do with her if she is mouthbrooding???

First...confirm she is. Does she look like she has eggs in her mouth ? She'd keep it more closed than normal and sometimes look like she's chewing (mixing the eggs with fresh water). Is there a male Auratus in the tank ?
Do you have another tank...say 10 gallons ?

i dont think there is anything in her mouth, and i have no idea how to tell males from females, can you help me? i have the 6 fish i have posted here
