the bigger it gets and the more i look at it, the more it looks like a male. too much color in the bottom fins for a female.

I think so when i brought them they were same size but this one stayed a lot smaller but i think its just because its the less dominant

one can never really tell by growth rate. there's always some runts in a spawn. i had the same happen before. got two at once and one was almost 5in by the time the other was 2in and they were both males.

when i move i shall set another tank up and split them and find females as would hate to give any away! Its so hard to get cichlids where i live in UK and they are always so small at lfs its a gamble to guess sexes

Looking at Karrie s GTS this looks female Joshua so maybe i have 2 female
