$5 not sure who this is fish... any clue

i got this little fellow from a assorted tank of odds and sodds for 45 love the colour.. the person who sold it said something about the males being blue and females being yellow.. not sure if true but i loved his colour for $5 .. any body have any idea who this may be...

hey yer i think it is a Pseudotropheus saulosi the males do turn blue with like black/dark strips on them while the femlaes tay bright yellow there a good fish

The mouth is not right for a saulosi. (I have been breeding wild ones for awhile). It looks more like Juvenile of the tropheops complex possibly tropheops chilumba or tropheops chitimba both of which have yellow juvies and females. You can check out adults on my profile if you want to compare.

well i agree james, not a saulosi, but will disagree with the tropheus. I believe this is a female Msobo "Daktari", or a female Msobo "Membe Deep"

Tropheops not tropheus, aka Macropthalmus. The strait underslung jaw, and the proportion of the eye to head (Macro=large opthalmus=eye)is what lead me to this conclusion.

Robert, I've bred all the species I've mentioned here at some time in the past. It's definitely in the Tropheops complex. Google it.
