How often should i feed blood worms? I have heard that if u feed them to often it can cause hole in the head disease and that the fish can become addicted to the worms and go off other food, eg, pellets ,shrimp etc.

I'm not sure about hole in the head. But what I do is feed them a variety of foods. I have 2 Jack Dempsey and a Green Terror. and I feed them 3 times a day. Once in the morning with Cichlid flakes or pellets, in the afternoon when i get home from work, they get frozen food ie. blood worms, beef heart, black worms, or a green vegetable. then later on at night they get flake or pellets again. Every once in a while i will buy them live brine shrimp. I am new at this so I welcome any advice anyone has as well, but seems to be working for me. My fish have very good color and are very active.

Any kind of WORM should be concidered a TREAT and not feed more than once a week..

I HAD 12 tanks running!! but moved so only 4 going strong!!
